Administrative/Operations Team announced for Rangers, Rifles organization

The Springfield Rifles and Founder/President Brian Foley are excited to announce the organization's administrative team ahead of the 2021-22 season.

Dedicated to keeping the Rifles organization going as the best local development program for both boys and girls hockey players, this team will be tasked with everything from scheduling, online presence, registrations, marketing and beyond.

Meet the team:

Brian Foley, Founder and President: Brian has overseen all hockey operations, player development and business administration since founding the club in 2011. For the 2021-22 season he will help coach the Rifles 2008 E9/Beast and 2007 E9/ Beast teams. He has been the Head Coach of Pope Francis Prep School and formerly Cathedral High School since 2004. Pope Francis is currently the top ranked team in the State and on an unprecedented run of 12 straight Super 8 tournaments. As a student, Brian played both Varsity hockey and baseball at the College of Holy Cross.

Matt Foley, Director Rifles Hockey School & Director of Hockey Operations: Matt has been involved with the Rifles since its inception. Beginning as a player in the organization, he has stayed involved through coaching teams as well as running skills clinics and the annual Rifles Hockey School. Matt graduated from Yale in 2020, where he played defense on the hockey team for four years. He is currently playing his first season of professional hockey for the Wheeling Nailers, the East Coast Hockey League affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Andrea Kearney, Administrator: Andrea began as Team Manager in 2013 for the Springfield Rangers and managed all levels through this year’s Bantam U14 team. In this position Andrea provides support to the Scheduler, Digital/Social Media Director, and Team Managers. This includes maintaining the Team Calendars, assisting with social media postings and responsible for general Team Communications. Andrea also has 8 years of experience as a Hockey Mom, both her son and daughter play for the Springfield Rifles.

John Beattie, Digital Director: John joins the Rifles with over 15 years of digital communications experience to manage the organization's website, registrations and social media. John grew up playing youth hockey in the Greater Springfield area and was an alternate captain on Cathedral High School's first ever Elite 8 team in 2001. John coaches locally at the youth level.

Barbara Jean Deloria, Scheduler, E9-BHL Program Contact/Scheduler: Barbara Jean Deloria is the Master Scheduler and in charge of rosters for the organization. She maintains league commitments with E9, BHL, USA Hockey and Mass Hockey as well as scheduling referees for all games. Barbara Jean also works with Olympia on ice contracts and scheduling ice time. In addition to these roles, Barbara Jean is also responsible for all team and organization communications and handling National Team documentation and Safety protocols for all teams. Barbara-Jean has been with the Rifles since it began, in 2011.
